In systems that exchange heat, water is usually used as a carrier of energy. The use of water containing solubles causes sedimentation at the heat transport surfaces and greatly reduces the heat transfer efficiency.

The sediment, or the same insoluble solid layer, deposited on the surfaces and pipes of the cooling and heating installations; over time, pipes and pipes block the water and cause increased energy consumption, reduced productivity and damage to the facilities.
