Description
The tendency to seawater foaming in MED and MSF systems is unpredictable. It is generally thought that the foam is formed when the concentration of organic compounds in the brine is increased and come to the surface of the water and the formation of resistant film at the water surface and increase the surface tension of the water.
Mitreh AFG97 anti-foam is an effective material that is used to control and prevent the foam formation in MED and MSF systems with tap water consumption. All the raw materials of this compound are formulated by Food Grade substances. Mitreh AFG97 forms a micro emulsion in water during evaporation (depending on operating conditions) and comes to the surface due to its lightness weight. It acts as a surfactant and by reducing film resistance, preventing the formation of bubbles and foams on the liquid surface.
Calibration of Using Mitreh AFG97 Solution:
In order to prevent from foam formation in MED and MSF systems during different evaporation steps, the dosage of solution consumption varies according to seawater analysis and in particular seawater microbial analysis.
