Sediment removal and performance optimization of 8 desalination devices in South Pars gas complex with cold miter solution

Abrizan Industrial Research Company, by providing one of the most advanced chemical solutions in the industry, carried out chemical washing operations of 8 thermal desalination units in joint facilities No. 2 and 3 of the South Pars Gas Complex in cooperation with the South Pars Gas Complex Joint Operations Company.

In this project, a total of 440 tons of cold mitreh scale removal solution were sent to the project site and used. The operation began with one of the desalination packages of joint facility No. 3 in July 1404.

Remarkable results after chemical washing:

  • Increase in the tonnage of produced water from 55 tons per hour to more than 100 tons per hour (an increase of more than 80%)
  • Recovery of the efficiency of the device without the need for a long-term production stop
  • No corrosion in the equipment, due to the controlled and non-corrosive formulation of the cold mitreh solution
  • Removal of a significant volume of carbonate and silicate deposits from the pipe channels

This success is a testament to the high efficiency, safety and reliability of the cold mitreh solution in harsh industrial conditions and sensitive units such as gas complexes.
