Biocide desalination unit
The desalination unit is one of the main units in refineries used to desalt crude oil before refining. Crude oil often contains water, mineral salts, especially sodium chloride, solid particles, and water-soluble metals. As the first step in the oil refining process, and to prevent corrosion damage, sediment formation, tank volume occupation, and energy consumption for oil transportation, and to prevent catalysts from becoming ineffective in process units, these contents must be separated from the oil before refining. In desalination systems, various chemicals are used to control and reduce corrosion damage and sedimentation, including biocides.
Biocide solutions are used to control microbial load, especially microbial corrosion, in desalination systems. Biocide solutions specific to desalination units are selected depending on microbial analyses performed on the desalination unit solution sample. Biocides produced by Abrizan Company with various bases reduce and control the microbial load in the desalination system by destroying or exerting controlling effects on the species of microorganisms and eliminating the conditions of microbiological degradation, which are introduced below:
Isothiazoline based biocides
Glutaraldehyde based biocides
Biocides based on ammonium salts
Specialized biocides with combined bases
