Condenser and its types

Condenser
Condenser: A unit for controlling temperature in refrigerators, air conditioning systems, and chillers. Its main function is to act as a heat exchanger in which a substance (refrigerant) is converted from a gas to a liquid state, from where the latent heat is removed by the substance and transferred to the condenser coolant.
Condensers come in a variety of sizes, from relatively small to very large industrial units.
Types of Condensers
Condensers are divided into three categories based on their function and fluid, the types of which are:
Air-cooled condensers:
They usually consist of tubes with fins attached, but sometimes they can have wires or even plates attached to the refrigerant tubes. These give the condenser more surface area, making cooling more efficient. To maximize heat transfer and the cooling effect on the refrigerant, the fins must be kept clean.

Air-cooled
Water-cooled condensers (water-cooled):
In this type, after the cooling water has absorbed the heat of the hot fluid, it is sent to the cooling tower to be cooled again in the tower and returned to the condenser. In this type of condenser, due to the presence of water circulating in the system, sediment is formed after a while, which requires specialized sediment removal operations. Performing condenser sediment removal operations increases heat exchange, increases device efficiency, increases megawatts of electricity production, and ...

Types of water-cooled condensers
- Dual-tube
- Plate
- Shell and tube
- Shell and coil
In the two-tube type, water is pumped in the inner tube and the refrigerant flows in the outer tube.
In the plate type, several tens to several hundred plates are placed next to each other, with cold fluid (water) and hot fluid (hot gaseous fluid) flowing in the space between the plates alternately, and they exchange heat with each other through the walls of the plates.
In the shell and tube type, water is pumped through the tubes while the refrigerant flows in the shell.
The shell and coil type is very similar to the shell and tube water condenser type and is used in small-volume cases.
Evaporative condensers:
In evaporative condensers, water and air are used together as the evaporating agent.
