Oil-soluble corrosion inhibitor for the protection of oil transfer and storage equipment

Corrosion is a natural phenomenon that occurs as a result of the electrochemical reaction of metal with the surrounding environment. In the oil and gas industries, corrosion is one of the major problems that accounts for a huge amount of money annually. Part of these amounts are related to the corrosion of oil pipelines or lines. Ways to effectively prevent corrosion of oil transmission and storage equipment are divided into two categories: physical and chemical solutions. Physical corrosion treatments have generally found limited application in preventing corrosion in oil transmission and storage equipment due to characteristics such as the need for high investment, the inflexibility of the inhibition system in the event of changes in the system and its own corrosion monitoring equipment. Chemical corrosion treatment involves the use of corrosion inhibitors. This product is used to prevent corrosion in oil or gas transmission and storage lines and equipment.
The corrosion inhibitor produced by Abrizan Company is an organic corrosion inhibitor with very high solubility in hydrocarbons [1] and/or dispensability [2] in water, along with film-forming properties [3]. This inhibitor exhibits good layering in batch remediation and is an excellent inhibitor for continuous remediation.
Key Features:
- High thermal stability
- Soluble in hydrocarbons and alcohols
- Compatibility with other chemicals (antifoam and anti-emulsifier)
- High thermal stability (300°F)
- Stability of protective film over time
Oil-soluble corrosion inhibitors may be applied by batch or continuous injection. The amount of chemical required depends on the length and diameter of the lines. A sufficient volume of inhibitor is necessary to completely cover the lines. Injection points are usually located at crude oil transfer stations and are applied by a corrosion inhibitor injection pump depending on the size of the line after the main pump of the station. The distance between injection points is based on the distance between the oil transfer stations. Oil-soluble corrosion inhibitor
